These are a few of the pictures and there are more as a separate post as well. I only put a few on here though.
At 34 weeks I and definitely starting to feel it more. I am uncomfortable and I am getting more exhausted from hauling my body around all day, yet I can't sleep at night. I feel like I can actually feel my belly stretching. It is so tight now and still going to get bigger. I hope it can take it. Kris is on a countdown for my belly button to pop, it is very close.
Not that I know because I can see it, but from what I understand our baby kind of looks like he's coated in a layer of cream cheese these days. This is a thick white substance called vernix that protects his skin from pruning in the amniotic fluid. Also the fur that covered his body up until now is mostly gone. replaced with the "peach fuzz" we are more familiar with. Funny to think of my baby as being furry. Now he is developing his own immune system and not relying solely on antibodies received through the placenta.
We had belly pictures taken last week by a friend of ours. We got a few really lovely pictures to just remember this time and how I looked when we think back to this as our baby graduates or gets married later on in life. I am going to put at least one up in the nursery, a picture of mom and dad and then I will certainly want one of baby when he comes.
Also here is a 7 week photo and a 34 week photo
sorry about the weird sizing I am having some issues with getting these.
no doubt I have a belly now. The doctor said I have gained just a bit over 21 pounds, so that is pretty darn good. Right on track for a very healthy reasonable pregnancy. I can't deny I had a small pooch to begin with not six pack abs for me, but it is funny to see that picture and think about the work I was doing then to get in shape and lose weight to where I am today. Hopefully I can take it off after baby is here, not too much longer now, we are getting very close to the any day it could happen time, that will be tough to wait through.
