Crazy Busy, but With What?

Our family has seemed to be very busy lately, but when I really think about it I am not sure with what.

We went to Redmond Oregon area last weekend with friends and had a really fun relaxing weekend.  Kris and his friend Bobbie golfed in a tournament while "the wives" and kids swam, took walks in the sun, and chilled at the house.  It was a great house with a big open deck that Conrad loved because he was free to come and go as he pleased.  He also loved the pool since the kid pool (the inside kid pool - the splash park was closed) was a round one and a half foot deep pool he could reach in so he "walked" around in there by himself, well with Kris or me right by him ready to pick him up if he slipped, he jumped, splashed, and generally tried to be just like the big kid with us, Nolan.

Golf is picking up with the nice weather.  Kris is on a golf league and doing a few tournaments.  He is also working on making cabinets for his grandpa's beach cabin that is getting closer to being done.  Work has been busy for him and he says it just keeps piling on more.

I have been very busy in the heart of the transition from one timekeeping system to another here.  Deadlines and a lot of data means a lot of meetings and decision making.  I like the work and feel like we are really making headway to the best end though.  It is also heavy contract season, so we have been writing up a lot of those for all of the fun spring events that happen here at OSU.  I like having a little inside knowledge of what to expect.

We are still looking ahead to getting our new counter tops, sink and tiling our back splash in the kitchen, so we need to get that scheduled.  We have family parties and some travel planned.  And I am setting up a garage sale - thinking the last weekend in June.  I want to get the neighborhood in on it so we will get a lot of traffic and get some things sold.  I wouldn't mind the extra cash and we need to clean out!

Our big boy is growing up too fast and has pretty much moved on to having a big bed.  I thought we would have another year or so but he is fully sleeping in our guest bedroom now which is a queen bed, so we need to decide how we are going to reorganize the rooms and get him his own bed soon.

Hard to believe summer is already here, but I love this time of year and the fun friends and family gatherings that come with it.
