Kris and I finally got with the times and got new phones. We changed phone providers and got smart phones with all the bells and whistles. So I am still getting my new computer up to date and figured out and now trying to learn a new phone and all of its features and settings. I don't really have time to mess around and figure either out since it seems like as soon as I do get started Conrad needs attention and when he doesn't there are a dozen other things that need to be done. On top of these personal new technologies at work I am learning to work with Microsoft Access again or more and working on our website, so I spent most of Friday in a Drupal website building training session and feel like I want to jump on and use everything I learned, but have some other more pressing work issues I have to deal with first.
So Conrad, he weighed 15 pounds at Thanksgiving when we were at my parents with him. His four month appointment is only a couple short weeks away already. I am not sure how long he is, I want to measure but am never in a good place to do that when I think of it. He is sitting much better now. Needs assistance of course so we hold him or use the Bumbo or the Boppy to prop him on. He has sat in his stationary walker play thing but it is a little too much still for him to be in it and play with the toys, not really ready yet. He does sit in his Johnny jump up and is starting to get the concept with his legs, I guess he uses the one at daycare too and likes it. Sleep is good and bad. Some nights are better than others, we tried the whole cry himself to sleep thing last night because he just kept waking when we would put him down, not only was the miserable for me, but he didn't go to sleep, I finally took him to bed with me so we could get some sleep and he slept until about 8 this morning. I am at a loss for just what to do as he wants to go back to sleep at night but wants to be held and I just can't be up holding him all night. I don't know if we can do that cry yourself to sleep and learn to self sooth thing, but what if he never learns to go to sleep on his own?
Christmas lights went up today, some decorating happened too, we rearranged furniture back to how it was before Conrad, somewhat. Now we will need the tree and I can bring in the rest of the decor stuff. Kris did some yard clean up too, everything was so dead and gross looking so he just cleaned things up a bit so it cleared out all of the leaves and bent over dead plant remains. Now both my boy are napping on the couch.
Yesterday we had some pictures of Conrad taken, some are really cute, some are pretty cute. We did some family shots and it seems like there are ones where I look right and Kris is blinking, or Conrad is smiling but I am making a face... hard to get every shot right with a baby I guess. Oh well they turned out pretty cute, I wish there were a couple more of just Conrad, but we have some really nice frames for the front room wall now.
Hm, well back to work tomorrow, should be a busy week again.
