I can hardly believe my little man it already eight weeks old. He has changed and grown a lot already. His sleeping has improved but it isn't as good as it was at grandma and grandpas house, he seems to be a little congested though so maybe that is interfering with his sleep. We see the doctor on Thursday for his two month appointment so we will see then.
Today Conrad held a toy ring thing in each of his hands for the first time. He is reaching for colorful toys and playing on his floor mat. He also seems to have started to blow bubbles and he coos and "talks" more than ever. I guess at this stage my baby may mimic my facial expressions, so is this what he is doing when he smiles, or is he really smiling? Anyway it is a gorgeous smile and I love to see it. Soon he will even be reaching for me when he needs attention, security, or comfort. This will be a very special feeling.
I am so glad I have had this time to be home with him, and I am not in a hurry to go back to work (one more month) but I do sort of think the routine of a work day will help get us into a routine here which will help smooth everything out. When Conrad is sleeping I could hold him all day. I love his play and cooing, but I am not really sure how to entertain him. Now that he is really reaching for his toys I think it will get a little easier to sort of play and interact with him.
