Conrad and I have been up here in the San Juan's for this past week now and I have to say my baby has changed seemingly so much in this last week. He has started actually whining, which seems like it wouldn't be a good thing, but hearing something other than either silence of a sleeping baby or one who is just looking around a little or the sound of screaming crys of hunger and discomfort is a nice change. He coos and makes little funny sounds and smiles almost like he is laughing, sometimes in his sleep even. He is doing so much better with being put down for a bit and just hanging out and seems to be actually seeing the toys hanging over his bouncy seat or that I hold up for him to look at. The biggest and for me most valuable change is that he has been SLEEPING four hours at a time. Just this week he has started to sleep long enough I only get up once at night and then an early-ish morning. I have even had to get up just to pump as I was too full. Yeah I have had some sleep, I hope this keeps up when we get back home.
It has been nice to be up here where grandma and grandpa can cuddle him and we can have a change of pace and has been fun to have the chance to see so many friends and family.
Tomorrow we will start to head south and will stop to see some family then Sunday on to home. Kris is already back from his hunting trip - he didn't get a dear this year. He is going to the Beaver game tomorrow, Conrad and I will miss this game too. It is also his 30th birthday - a big one and unfortunately we won't be there to celebrate with him, but we love him and will be thinking of him while we head that way to see him Sunday. Conrad misses dad and will be happy to see him I am sure.
I will post pictures next week, I was looking at pictures of him from right after birth and he already seems to have changed so much.
