So this was about 14 1/2 weeks. I had just the smallest amount of a bump - I thought I looked pregnant, but now I see that was nothing...
From the front you can hardly tell...
This week, or now, our baby is perfecting his lungs and packing on the pounds. I guess he'll gain ½ pound this week alone. Things are starting to get a little crowded inside my womb, I feel kicks far to the sides and top of my belly, but I haven't really felt enough to know exactly what body part is pushing where and on what - except for earlier when he was tickling my bladder while I was trying to work my triceps.
Little man's ears are now fully functional, but I haven't noticed any response to sound. Kris was putting his hand on my belly and asking for a high five recently and while every request seemed to get an answer I think the little bugger was just being busy anyway. He's getting used to the everyday sounds inside my womb like my heart beating, my lungs breathing, and the growling in my stomach when Kris promised he'd be right back with dinner and he's taking forever!
I guess the little guy has a fully developed inner ear now too. Which means his sense of balance is working and he can tell that he's hanging upside down, or at least was when we had our ultrasound, maybe he has laid more to the side now. I wonder what it is like to just be upside down all the time in there.
