And So it Begins

February marks the beginning of Kris and my busy spring.  Kris has been getting re involved with his fraternity and so has been much busier lately with different meetings and pledge ceremonies.  He also is taking a lead role in his bass fishing club, so he needs to be finding some speakers to bring into the meetings this year.  I am looking forward to welcoming several babies to good friends soon.  Of course this also means baby showers will begin for those moms.  And while their having babies shouldn't really mean my life gets busier I will be painting name letters for their baby rooms, well for whomever still wants me to.  This week is a busy one at work (meetings and training) Kris and I may have some guests stay here this weekend for his Frat initiation ceremony and then the weekend after that I am going to the coast for a night with some girlfriends which should be fun and the weekend after that my Aunt and Uncle are coming for a visit. I guess the spring always tends to bring more activity, people finally want to get out of the house and don't have the family holiday obligations the winter brings.

This past weekend Kris and I bought our first real baby items. Other than the crib and changing table we did already have from several months ago.  I was doing some research and shopping online for brands and items we might be interested in and found a sale on a stroller and car seat combo and an pack-and-play. They seemed to fit our needs, were highly rated brands and were on sale which is always a bonus.  So we bought them, there goes a couple hundred bucks... oh well there will be more to come.

Only one week until our next appointment.  It will be nice to see the baby again and to get that check up that everything is going the way it should.  I am sure everything is fine but you just never know, so it will just be good to hear.
by the way this picture is from the Target website. I didn't take it and I am not taking credit for it :)  just in case that matters on these blog things.
