October and the Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch this past weekend and had a good afternoon.  We went with our new neighbors who have a son just a bit older than Conrad and a brand new daughter who will be just a bit older than our new baby.  It has been nice having some friends close by to play with and we can help each other out.

We went to Airlie Hills Farm.  They had a hay ride to the field of pumpkins that the boys loved.  While the patch seemed mostly picked over we just wandered and enjoyed the actually very sunny and warm day.  Then the boys went down the slides they had on the two different hay stacks, rode the trikes on the trike track, did a mini hay maze (they had a corn maze and hay maze for the older kids but we stuck to the one you could see over the walls in).  We also saw the pig, calf, chickens, and ducks.

We are going to carve this weekend, we'll see how interested Conrad is in that activity.

Conrad has also been making some fall art at daycare.  Okay I am not sure how much of this Conrad really made since it seems just a bit to perfect, but this is a leaf wreath, and I will have to get a picture of his fall coloring.
