One of Those Weeks

It has been one of those weeks.  Just when I thought things would start to get back on track, they never do.  Conrad had a couple of rough nights at the beginning of the week and woke up four times and needed more than his usual quick want of a bottle or just a pat but needed rocking and soothing.  Should have known something was coming.  Tuesday afternoon our daycare called that his temp was at just over 101.  That is borderline, the high side of it is just normal for a teething one year old and something is wrong, so I took him home.  He slept and I gave him Tylenol and then he was better.  The next morning he woke up and was a bit warm, but still his temp was below 100 so more Tylenol and off to daycare.  I guess he was fine all morning and then his temp spiked again to 102 this time. Home we went again.  Not that it is ever a good time for these things, but of course I am very busy at work and Kris is trying to get a project done so we are trying to balance our need to be there and our baby who needs us.  So we decided we would keep him home today just so we could have a day without any fever or if he was still sick we would have him here. Kris stayed home with him today after working late last night and going in at 4 this morning to get some things done.  OF course he didn't have a fever all day, but he has red spots, not bumps, not splotches or blotches, but round circular spots here and there around his body.  Great, what is this?  Daycare texted me and I guess the other little one there also got a fever today and has spots too.  He went to the doctor and it is just a common virus, nothing we can do. Boy this poor kid cant catch a break.

So after dinner I put him in the bath and of course what happens, he poops.  So off to the other tub to wash that off while I clean all of his toys and bath.  Oh what fun it is...

Conrad has changed a lot in these last couple of weeks.  He walks now, somewhat.  He will take a few steps between Kris and I, about 7 at most.  He will take a few just toward other things on his own but quickly goes down to crawl.  He babbles all of the time, even with his pacifier in his mouth, so I yank that out so we can "understand" him.  He love his see and say when it plays Old McDonald, he wiggles his bum as he sits and it plays.

He also has a ton of teeth, they just keep pouring in.  He has the four top front, and three and half of the bottom front teeth and the first molars have broken through on both sides of his top.

He sleeps on his tummy, mostly and seems to drool since his sheet has nice drooly spit spots all over it.  Yep he follows in daddy's footsteps on that one.

Well tomorrow is Friday and hopefully will be somewhat uneventful and all will be well again.
