Blanket Blindness

Conrad is sleeping better. I suppose maybe normal even.  he goes to bed about 7 and sleeps until 12 or 1, eats then sleeps until 5 and back to sleep until closer to 7.  This morning it was woke at 1 ate and then cried for a little bit before he went back to sleep then he woke up at 4:30 and ate again and went back to sleep until about 6:30.  he woke up still out of sorts and was crying and not his usual happy self.  I finally gave him another bottle and that seemed to be it.  I gave him less (4oz instead of 6) at 1 and Kris had given 4oz at 4:30 so I know he had less over the night but it had only been a couple of hours so I was surprised he already wanted to eat again; maybe he is growing.  So now that he goes to sleep on his own better and isn't waking up so often we can work on the eating and moving that wake up time.  The new problem we seem to have is his blanket.  I frequently find that it is totally over his head.  It isn't a really heavy blanket and he is moving himself and things pretty well so I am not sure he is going to suffocate or not be able to get it off, but he will be crying and kicking about and I look at the monitor and it is over his face.  I imagine he is scared that he is suddenly blind.  I am starting to think we should just not put the blanket in his bed at all.

In other Conrad related news, we tried carrots for the first time last night.  I thought they were pretty good, even a little sweet. Conrad didn't seem to like them.  Maybe he will like them better if we just keep trying a little again and again.  He made a funny yuk face and sort of wiggled though.  Food is such a funny weird thing I am sure.

Work is very busy, life is moving fast.  I am liking the little bits of sun we are getting but it is still pretty cold and I don't expect it to get all that much warmer very soon.
