Today Kris and I went to the movie True Grit. It was pretty good. I have never seen the original so I'm not sure how it compares, but it was well done. Kris expected it to be a little more action packed than it was but we liked it. I also made my first visit to the Motherhood maternity store. I am not really out of my clothes yet or anything but wanted to get a belly band so I could be ready when it was too much to bare wearing my tight pants. My jeans are already a bit tight and uncomfortable; I think my butt has grown a tad, yeah!
We tried to watch The Pacific. Mom and dad had the DVD set and sent it down to us to borrow, but when we plugged in the first disc our player wouldn't play it and unfortunately we came to realize it was a Blue ray set and we don't have that kind of fancy advanced technology. Bummer. We will have to rent it or something some other time.
Friday I told my boss the news at work. He was pretty happy for us and very cool about the prospect. He is a pretty pro family guy so I didn't expect any other response of course, but it is still just nerve racking to tell. Now I just need to tell my co-workers which should be fine except I don't know how to tell them. I feel silly calling everyone's attention and announcing it but just saying it to individuals here and there seems weird too. Oh well I guess it will just happen as it does.
I have tomorrow off which feels kinda nice, I am heading to Wilsonville to get my car serviced and oil changed at the dealer. It will be nice to get that done and off the checklist of to do for a bit. Then I am not sure what I will do with my day. I have some baby letters to start designing for all of my pregnant friends. I realized I may have a lot ahead of me to make and the way no one seems to want to tell their babies names before the baby is born (which I get and respect) it means I can't make them ahead. Oh well, good thing I am last of us so I won't be trying to make some while I have a newborn. I will get them done before ours is born (assuming I don't have some unexpected early labor).
