A Day at the Beach

Last weekend we went to the coast and walked on the beach.  It was windy and cold, but we still had a nice walk and Conrad saw the ocean for the first time.  He wasn't all that excited.  We went and introduced Conrad to his new sitter.  I have one more week at home and then back to work, at least part time for the first week and then full the next.  I am getting sad to be leaving little one but it will be good to get back to the adult world too.

At this point Conrad smiles, coos, and make bubbles really well. I know impressive right.  Well he is right on track to where he should be.  His neck strength has always been good but he should be learning to lift his head and chest while on his stomach.  I guess this is why you are supposed to be sure they spend time on their tummy, it is hard though as they don't really much like it. I guess just lifting the legs and being on the back and sitting and kicking strengthens the muscles too and tummy time isn't the end all be all, but we just want to keep him moving and getting stronger.

He sleeps a lot these days and is doing pretty well at night.  Unfortunately he doesn't really respond well to Kris, they are still learning each other.  He is a mommas boy, but I am sure there will be a day when he wants nothing to do with me and is all about daddy.
