Nothing new to report from the Yates household. baby is still in his cozy little cocoon kicking me trying to make more room, he hasn't gotten the idea yet that he is trying to get out the wrong way (through my side) and that there is more room for him to stretch out here. He will get tired of the cramped quarters soon though and find his way.
I am still working. I guess it helps to distract me from just waiting. It is hard to sit at my desk most all of the day and by 5 I am pretty beat so I am trying to just rest in the evenings. It is also strange to be planning daily duties and making meeting arrangements and things not sure if I will be at them or not and sort of hoping I won't be. I am pretty ready for him to be here and to get my body back a little. On the other hand I want him to make it through this week, I think timing would be better a little closer to the 23rd even if not the 23rd.
I had a great birthday on Saturday. Some girlfriends took me to the spa and we got pedicures. They were doing it to celebrate baby and my birthday and it was much needed and felt great. We enjoyed fun treats back at the house and visited for what I believe will be the last time before this little guy arrives. They offered any last minute advice, but I think I know what I know and am just waiting to see how it all goes for me.
Kris also made a great steak salad for dinner and had a special rich chocolate ice cream cake treat for later. He is so thoughtful, but now we have too much ice cream cake for two people to eat.
